The City of Orange Eisteddfod is a major event in the Orange arts calendar. Families come from near and far to attend while taking in all our beautiful city has to offer. It is a busy time for Orange’s accommodation, food and retail sectors.

The City of Orange Eisteddfod provides performance opportunities in the form of competition for amateur community members. This Eisteddfod offers three disciplines, Drama, Music and Dance. A variety of solo sections are offered as well as championships and scholarships. Group sections include dance groups, bands, choirs as well as school groups.

Each year in August and September Orange welcomes competitors and their families from cities and towns around our area such as Bathurst, Lithgow, Mudgee, Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes and Cowra as well as competitors from across The Blue Mountains, Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra.

The Orange Eisteddfod Committee endeavors to offer a friendly and efficiently run competition with professional adjudicators and quality performance venues.

Our motto is: “Learn and Grow Through Performance.”

About Us

We are proud to have received the 2021 Australia Day Award for COMMUNITY GROUP OF THE YEAR.

The Eisteddfod committee would like to thank all of our volunteers who gave so generously of their time, especially during the pandemic.

We would also like to acknowledge Orange City Council and Theatre staff, without whom the Eisteddfod could not go ahead. Thank you for your support and shared passion for the arts.
